Who is Katka Derouet?

Katka "Kathreen" Derouet is an internationally recognized dancer and choreographer who will celebrate 25 years of her career next year. Since January 2026, she has been launching a new dance project "The Silver Raqs Story" associated with the celebration of her anniversary and the premiere in November 2026.

She is the creator of countless dance projects at home and abroad. She has already visited over 20 countries with her dance. For example, she directed the dance performance Dreams Come True, created the Czech-Slovak project Oriental Dance Connects and is the author of the dance film 7 Elements.

She is currently a full-time mother and is mainly dedicated to online teaching - she is the founder of the unique online membership AHOJ! (Artistic Harmonious Oriental Journey), which introduces oriental dance, cultural contexts and the basics of Arabic in an easy and understandable way.
