During this workshop, Dominika will share with you techniques, tips and ideas that she uses in her absolute favourite discipline – dancing to classical Egyptian love songs.
We will use Dominika's choreography as an example of how to put your tarab skills into practice, as well as an illustration of tarab music interpretation. The main goal of the workshop, however, will be to help you feel more confident, free and natural in your own improvisations and choreographies to tarab songs in the future.
You will also learn how to create an emotional connection between you and the audience, how to build tension and how to express the emotions carried by the music through your body. Together, we will discover how to create a personal, emotional and unforgettable raqs sharqi performance.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, October 31st, 2026, from 10:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
